Of Beauty

Of Beauty

A Poem by MsJewel

graphic compliments of chariT's inspirational creations

She is more sparkling beautiful than dawn’s light seen through tears

sun woven hair, carefree in the breeze

and soft as the dew

she smiles among the lilies in the garden

where all the dreams I’ve dreamt before and after

keep her

as one would something precious…

a flower

pressed between the pages of the past

yet blooming in my heart

forevermore

my friend, my mother,

a memory of beauty

I know exactly where this piece came from my friend because I've lived it. The first line alone struck deep, and that was before I would go on to realize what this was about. Once I realized, I was close to tears. I'm not even sure what I could say in terms of consoling, except to tell you that my thoughts are with you.
