Snowflake Wishes

Snowflake Wishes

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ still no snow at the beach ~

"

Art ~ compliments of myopera

~~~
I hung my hope upon a star
in skies of midnight blue
As winter rose and snowflakes fell
the star, my wish, it flew!
Lie still, lie still, my hopeful heart
as the sky began to glow
in flecks of light, so pure and white
Lie still, but let it snow
I dreamt a dream so full of hope
where a wish, it came true
I woke to a white wonderland
The star, my wish, it grew!
~~~

So lovely, MsJewel. We must never give up on a dream or desire we hold dear. For to give up on it is, in a sense, to cease living and to cease feeling fully alive. Very, very well done, my friend. And I hope to post something this weekend. I've been a slacker as of late:)

I hope when your muse gets tired of hanging out on the beach in sunny southern California, She comes to visit me up here and help me with my winter poetry.

This is simply exquisite.

This is so full of Christmas hope! I imagined myself as a child while reading this. "I woke to a white wonderland/The star, my wish, it grew!"

it was as if I wrote it myself, but that could never be, as we are so differently the same
Were I the sky to hang your stars upon, in gleaming brilliance, strands and braids.
Would come to pass upon my canvas, the hopes and dreams of wishes made.

For you....Merry Christmas Ms.J. :)
