It Was There

~ a romantic scribble ~

Love came softly

           like the mist in a dream

      as quiet as a breeze

as graceful as a stream

of flowers

               cascading

                         gently through the air

 

         So silent…

                I didn’t know it was there

 

As the breeze blew stronger

each petal on the ground

                      started to scatter

             still without a sound

      leaving just the mist

                       of dreams

                                to take me where

 

Love came softly…

                  but I believe it was there

This is perfectly lovely. I do believe I audibly sighed at the end. I loved the vision of the flowers cascading gently to rest as a petaled carpet. Appropriate footing for love I think.
