This is Called A Pantoum! Woot.

This is Called A Pantoum! Woot.

A Poem by Julietta
"

"

I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be an emperor.

That’s not my business.

Never shall I rule or conquer anyone.

I should like to help everyone.

That’s not my business.

We all want to help one another.

I should like to help everyone.

Humans are like that.

We all want to help one another

We want to live by each other’s happiness, not misery.

Humans are like that.

We don’t want to hate and despise one another.

We want to live by each other’s happiness, not misery.

In this world there is room for everyone.

We don’t want to hate and despise one another.

And the good, rich earth can provide for everyone.

In this world there is room for everyone.

The way of life can be free and beautiful,

And the good rich earth can provide for everyone.

But we have lost the way.

The way of life can be free and beautiful;

But greed has poisoned men’s souls-

But we have lost the way,

Barricaded the world with hate.

But greed has poisoned men’s souls,

Though we have developed speed, we have

Barricaded the world with hate.

Though we’ve shut ourselves in.

Though we have developed speed, we have

The radio and the aeroplane bring us closer together.

Though we’ve shut ourselves in,

The nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men.

The radio and the aeroplane bring us closer together,

Universal brotherhood for the unity of us all.

The nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men.

Even now my voice is reaching million despairing victims.

Universal brotherhood for the unity of us all,

A system that makes men torture and imprison innocents.

Even now my voice is reaching million despairing victims.

To those who can hear me-please do not despair.

A system that makes men torture and imprison innocents-

The misery now upon us is but the passing of greed.

To those who can hear me-please do not despair,

It was simply the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress.

The misery upon us is but the passing of greed,

The hate of men will pass, and dictators die,

It was simply the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress.

The power they took from the people will return to the people.

The hate of men will pass, and dictators die.

And so long as men die,

The power they took from the people will return to the people.

Liberty will never perish.

And so long as men die-

I do not want to be an emperor.

Liberty will never perish.

Never shall I rule or conquer anyone.
