You Told Me So

You Told Me So

A Poem by Just Brooke

I miss looking into your eyes
seeing my reflection
thinking I'd be yours for life long
believing every white lie
praying we would last
day dreaming about forever
in the sunny weather

I miss never being sad
lying in your arms
wishing on stars
staring at the phone
being the luckiest girl alive
thinking you'd be all I'd ever know
dreaming of you every night

I miss you standing by my side
just talking all night
now I wanna be there
kissing around the corner
where no one would see
just the concept of you and me
you being my hero
me being your angel
knowing you'd catch me if i fell
feeling as though I was loved
because you told me so

Miss Brooke,
I miss the girl, I miss the kisses and the talks and the feeling of being needed, of being loved. But life goes on 'cher, and life is short. It's okay to remember and to dream, but life goes on, sweet lady poet that you are. Exquisite poem dear. Keep it up! BZ
