The End Is Near

The End Is Near

A Poem by While the blossoms still cling

I watch from the sidelines
Something I cannot prevent
It is inevitable
The end is near

You sit all alone
Refusing to talk
The lights burn
The end is near

Your days are spent alone
Your nights with years
You won't let me help
The end is near

I watch you lose it
And examine your wrist
You sigh in regret
The end is near

The sharp lights pierce your eyes
The beeping lies
You feel dead
The end is near

You look over and see me
I lean over and whisper
"I am here
The end is no longer near."

Repetitiveness is key in this poem. I like how it concludes with a twist.
Good job.
