Moonlight's Final Thoughts

Moonlight's Final Thoughts

A Poem by Jordan Varner
"

Just a simple poem. A true story, if you will.

"
I lay awake in my nest of cloth, on the verge of sleep; which creeps up, slowly encasing me like a cocoon,
And I wonder if you're in your bed, thinking of me, as I think of you.
My thoughts wander through a sea; a desert of various topics and words; unfinished thoughts and sentences...
But it is always loyal to you, my darling.

For many nights, and many days, you have been the subject of my thoughts.
And tonight will be the same. So, as I lie on the verge of slumber,
I think of you once more, and wonder
If you think of me as well.
