Love

Loning for something that will never return.

I feel empty when I dream

But the memory of the lost

Never fades

 

I feel happy

When sadness rushes over me

Wraping its presence

around my slowing heart

 

Uncertainty looms close

to acknowledge what I fear

Is true

 

Inside I can feel what is coming

After all else has passed

Never to return

Liked this. I use three line stanzas a lot in my poems. Reading this one, I was mentally editing that second verse and came up with 'I feel happy/when sadness rushes/round my slowing heart'. Just a suggestion that you can take or leave...thanx...bob
