I feel like a pumpkin

I feel like a pumpkin

A Poem by Michael Leon Wilson
"

Dark side of pumpkinism

"
I feel like a pumpkin
Hollowed out, gutted, sliced open by those once trusted
F****n displayed for all to see, burned inside by a fire inside of me
Burning brightly, illuminating, casting my secrets through crooked teeth
Your lies filling me like the candle that replaced the insides of me.
You viscous words drip, like wax, and I decay from your attacks
My insides are black, and I rot away, I was perfect for you.
But only for a day.

I was perfect for you.but only for a day....
Speaks a lot about the person who took advantage and left the other person to bleed...very nicely compared to the Halloween pumpkin ..
