Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

A Poem by Alex P.
"

Sometimes the words just come

"

I never say anything

But when I do,

It’s to you

This longing is so strong,

This weight,

Like I’m underwater,

Pushing in on me at all sides

I know this isn’t permanent,

But in a way,

That makes it harder

Because I know I’ll see you again

I remember the feel of your arms so clearly,

The sound of your voice in my ear,

The whisper of your breath on my throat

The stresses of everyday,

Of living,

Makes me wish the comfort you bring me,

The tranquility that I feel whenever I see you smile

I know it’s not long now

So I won’t say anything

But when I do speak

It’s just to tell you

How much I love you

And that I miss you too

This is a very emotional piece, I think it came out pretty good. You were very descriptive where you needed to be and it really shows the emotions quite well. Nice write.
