On Disgust

On Disgust

A Poem by KS Tahn

"I can't even look at you."
You think I am talking about physical attraction.  You think that's what is no longer there.
But I'm not.
It's deeper.  It's disbelievingly seeing your lack of care and respect for me, for our marriage for your complete lack of kindness.
It could have been so much easier if you'd been able to put aside your 'needs' while we were still living together.  Your need to have fun right away.  Your need to control and dominate my requests.  You've thrown away any chance for good will.  And for what - to stick it in her a*s a few times and to feel a sense of diversion?
How many people do you have to hurt?
How do you feel that is your right?
Therein lies my disgust.
Your fat a*s and bulging gut actually have nothing to do with it.

Most of the poem seems like a righteous rant. The comic last line takes one unaware.
