I am not your leader

I am not your leader

A Poem by Kaylee
"

A little sisterly advice for a girl whose birthday is soon.

"
Now, my dear
Your mind is fresh, young, and clear
Always remember why you are here
You can learn and aspire
Remember
They are not your leader

Now, my girl
You're a gift to the world
Fifteen now, you're trying out makeup
Masks are only temporary
So learn now and wake up
Remember
He is not your leader

Now, my sister
You're so strong, wild, and fierce
Never loose your originality
You're so obscure
Remember
Your friends are not your leaders

Now, my Kara
As you grow, so will your spirit
You are yourself as am I
Listen if you will
Appreciate if you don't
Remember
I am not your leader

hmm I think it is fine the way it is, but that's my opinion. I can understand that it is a sister telling her younger sister (that's my guess lol) to just be herself and not always follow what others tell her and such, which is good advice but then again she also needs to remember to decide what is good advice and what is not, it's not bad to have someone to look up to and learn from but I can understand this poems message, you don't want people to use you or mold you into someone that you don't want to be. You sound like a good sister to take the time and give advice.

Good Job
