Another chapter in my life

another leaf falls into place

like the seasons, people change

but some things always stay the same. 

I know you watch me from afar, 

to see if i'm still doing well.

though we don't talk anymore,

and don't see you, 

I still love you. 

"love" gets thrown around too often, 

too easy. 

It's meaning is different from me to you. 

and just like people, 

the meaning can change. 

I still love you, 

but not as I used to. 

You saved my life and made it better, 

and opened my eyes to see the world, 

but my love for you is that of a friend. 

I call you my friend

and always will. 

you'll never know how much I care

I wish i could tell you how

you have shaped my world.
