A balloon monologue

A balloon monologue

A Poem by Cat
"

A balloon talks to itself

"

I told you how i was stubborn

And how i let the world blow me in all kinds of directions sometimes

I know I am full of hot air

Sometimes I want to be led somewhere else

Sometimes I want to be by myself

Sometimes I know and feel just how hollow it feels inside

Sometimes I just want someone to heal me

I can never hold myself steady and i’m not ready to let go just yet but when i do

I wonder who will catch me

I wonder who will see me hanging by a string

I wonder who free me

I wonder who will grab me

I am always stumbling in pursuit of grace

And I wonder too many things

but

I wonder why they always let me go.

We all feel aimlessness at one time or another: just as you have poetically demonstrated with his wonderful write. Fortunately, we inevitable do ‘bump’ into a circumstance that gives an opportunity to ground our lives. Love the composition..

Many things I could use here as a comment - but I like the questions and your tone.

I used to love seeing kid's balloons fly by - they had gotten free and seemed like they would float right up to heaven but then... I always popped them with a home-made catapult and some stones because i hated the thought of them getting too high.
Just like this...>POP!!

This shows perfectly the feeling of being lost and trying very hard to find ourselves. I love the writing style. Keep going and I look forward to more of your work :)

Thank you that's very kind of you to say :)
This reminded of that lost feeling, like when you're soul-searching and nothing is really leading you anywhere. I'm not sure how to word it but this is very reassuring, it shows that being lost is not just my personal struggle but one that everyone will deal with.
