After a couple months I felt like everyone was forgetting about my dad. I felt like all my memories of him were beginning to fade, and then I realized that he is still in my heart.

Dont forget his loving face,
or his fatherly embrace.
The last time that you could see,
he was torn away from me.
Dont forget how he made you smile,
as you took it for granted all the while.
Understand he loved you so,
more then you could ever know.
Dont let his soul leave this place,
his loving, kind, and gentle space.
His warming soul that takes part,
dont let him leave your very heart

Very nicely expressed sentiments. I enjoyed reading this piece very much, and it brings back, for me, not memories of a departed father but my brother who was killed in 1985. Well done.
