Women of Lore

Women of Lore

A Poem by K.F. Draven
"

Sung by de' dwarves FANTASY

"
Oh, but a dwarf, is to know.
Of the beautiful women of lore!
For the sacred and bountiful beauty
Of the women we come to adore

Oh, but a dwarf is to teach.
Of their soft and gentle touch
Like that of the sacred unicorn
Beautiful and out of thy reach

Oh, but a dwarf is to hum.
Of the wives, the children and so,
The way we are fantasized by it

The way that the dwarf-kind must go

Oh, but a dwarf is to come.
Learn their ways and understand
For only then will they be acknowledged.
When we yearn and all will withstand.

It has a completeness to it. I liked the rhythm of the lines all the way til the last line which seems to jump off track a bit. Otherwise good. Do you know any dwarves personally?

I plain liked it though. I have never written anything that rhymed and it seems impossible for me to do and so... when some one is able to do that while making sense of words it astonishes me a bit. thanks...raining
