Anchor

Anchor

A Poem by Kae Martyndale

I can’t stand to be
In this space
This restless place
Where I reside

A lost shadow
Of a beautiful soul
Lost and cold
Stuck in limbo

Am I crawling desperately
Towards the sea
Or merely running
From home?

I just want to find
A place to hide
An anchor
In the tide
