Goodbye To You

Goodbye To You

A Poem by Kae Martyndale

Comfortable
That’s all we’ve ever been
No pulse, no voltage

I had conviced myself
That this would somehow
Be enough

This caring, reliable man
Who loves me
Without a doubt

A year has been spent
In comfortable
Companionship

But, I need a lover
And not just a friend

So, I wave goodbye to you
With all the benevolence
I can muster

Wow this is a very moving piece. It sounds like a story every person has had to go through at some point in their life or another. A Very good read.
