Each new breath

Becomes more of

A labour

Than it ever was

Before

 

Each moment

My brain resides

In consciousness

I feel the pain

Inside

 

The cold

Numb ache

Of wanting

And waiting

For something

 

 

Each time

I blink my eyes

I am reminded

Of the dullness

Of reality

 

This is the grey

Engulfing pain

That is

Life
