Ako

Ako

A Poem by Kael Islingr

A lonely house, all alone

A purple door illuminates the entrance

Alone in a town of 500

Alone, but not alone

500 boxes sit in a row in Utah

500 people trapped in their minds

Utah, my Family

Utah, my Childhood

Family, One Girl, 4 Boys

Family, a Nanay and a Tatay are mga Magulang ko

Boys, the first a conqueror, Place-Twin with a girl

Boys, the first is a Victor

Girl, a Busy Greek Bee, trailed by Me

Girl, my Closest Friend

Me, one of the Accused, followed by Lucas

Me, GOD IS MY JUDGE

Lucas, meaningless at first

Lucas, Temperamental and Dramatic

First shall be Last, and Last shall be First

First is the Victor, Last is The One Who Hears

First before the Children is Beloved

First before the Children is The North Star

Beloved looks to the North Star with Hope, and LOVE

Beloved is angry, and is always far away

Love he does, but Seldom does he show it

Love from him to God, I never see

The North Star beckons her Beloved, and tells him; Mahal Ko!

The North Star shines bright with Love, Light, and Truth

The North Star is not the brightest star in the sky, but…

The North Star LIGHTS THE WAY

The Tiger, and the Gorilla live on the other side of the Jungle

The Tiger, and the Gorilla are tangled like their home

Tiger is Potent Euphoria to All

Except the Ones She Loves

Gorilla came From Water

He is strong, but warps like Copper

Perfection can Only be achieved through the Refiner’s Fire

Forging through the heart of the Volcano

Wading through the Waters of Baptism

I AM THAT IS

WE ARE THAT IS

AND IT SHALL BE.
