Walks Lightly

Walks Lightly

A Poem by David Aiello
"

sees brightly

"
Like a long hypnotic ribbon,
Words within him,
Twist and swell,

Beyond the casual disposition,
Cosmic rhythms
Guide and tell.

Through strangest oddments,
Harrowing odds,
He smiles and nods,
And scribes it well

Through crude arrangements,
Perilous tangents,
The quill dips swiftly,
A tale beheld.

Though like a dreamer,
Floats he gently,
Each detail, like a love-note,
Kept.

And though he may
To smiling, listen,
When words be chosen
Clever, deft.

A guide of generosity,
As whimsy as a wind-whisked tree,
With many to go, and much to see,
A poet, of synchronicity;
