Fall

Fall

A Poem by Kala Benfield

They asked how it had to be done.
"you get pretty used to being alone."
Its over with, some things have to become
routine. Somethings had to stay the same.
Some asked me how i managed to keep sane,
during the day.
I simply replied,
" How is one to be happy when all her peers
are happy, but making one restless when
she goes to sleep at night ? "
They hold on, managing their balance
when they glance at her.
They hold their hands out for a reach
and a pull, when you finally get to stand
they allow you fall again.
