Begin Again.

Begin Again.

A Poem by Kala Benfield

How hard would it be
to choose me,
over something slight,
in the tiniest sliver of light.
In the most passionate of times.
When nothing in a Seuss book would rhyme.
How hard is it to create something
pure and simple.
But so easy to manipulate
the complex and the cripple.
Life is caniving, it's mind is lost.
Blood should be thicker than water.
But who's to say that when you turn
'round 3 times,
You see Bloody Mary's daughter.
If she had one, would you know?
Would you make the time to find out if she
would show?
You took longer to drown then I intended.
So now we can begin again.
Leaving our fears to be a dead end.
