The Gay Racist

The Gay Racist

A Poem by KalebMatthew

Awhile ago, I met a gay racist.

I always wanted to introduce him to
a black homophobe, just to see them argue.

Would they each say it's wrong to
discriminate against someone else
based on things they cannot control?

This is a very nice piece.
I think a similar thing a lot of times but what I really like is the undertone of melancholy in this.

Whenever I read about something like this, I expect fury, anger, rage. But your text is calm, calm enough to be taken home, calm enough to just think about, without having to argue.
I like that.
Your choice of words is great for the circumstances; nothing big or too fancy. Just as real as the situation itself.

This hopefully made a lot of people think. I think you have the stuff of dreamscapes; maybe your calm and unique intellect is already changing the world. This piece is beauty and tragedy.
