A hug goodbye

A hug goodbye

A Poem by KalliRose

It is a river of golden light
where I play and float peacefully
The water heals me
The relaxation takes me far away

As I flow downstream
The river becomes me
Inside me,
the light begins to shine

From the top of my skull
the light pours in
freeing me
glowing through my skin

The warm waters
Hold me
The are my security
Following each turn I make

Suddenly,
My toes brush against a grassy shore
The river is no longer in front of me
The light smiles and kisses me goodbye

I try to jump back in
But the current carries me to land,
quickly and gently
I look towards the river one last time

I must make the journey
through tall grass and vines
through mountains and madness
to reach the start of the river once again
