A Poem by KanaDream

Here.
They say a man died.
One half of a whole.
One piece of the puzzle.
His life was in such confusion.
Contortion. Elaborate irritation.
But all anyone will know is that here.
A man died.
Fled to the sea in search of freedom.
Peace. Wonder. End.
They won't know his name.
His work. His life.
Only that a body was set afloat
Leaving his soul.
The other half of the whole.

I like this and the writing leads the reader to realize that a body, without life is only a shell, a piece of someone's life that we may never know anything about. Good job reminding folks to remember that this person was someone's friend, lover, family member, who know how much more. I like that you put in just enough to make the reader think.

Thank you ^^
We often think that we need a better half, a partner to make us whole. But no, it is not true. It is our soul that needs to be the better half, that piece of a puzzle that we bind to our physical being, to make us the big picture.

This line is reaching.
"Fled to the sea in search of freedom.
Peace. Wonder. End."

Hi KanaDream. It takes only a glimpse of something to set the mind in motion, as I guess is what happened to inspire this beautifully tragic write. Love that you chosen not to overembellish with superfluous words!!! I truly felt empathy for that nameless person, alf
