A Poem by KaoticOrder

Don't let your imagination run wild
You'll be carried into world of mist
You'll wander off like a small child
And come back to find the worlds don't exist

Don't get your hopes up with a smile
It'll only hurt more when you miss
It doesn't matter how hard you tried
Your name will never be on the list

So get some sleep, you look so tired
But don't imagine you'll get a kiss
Don't think for a second you're worthwhile
Your imagination as a way to twist...

A lying fool to believe that anyone will want you
Don't fall for your dreams, because honestly, they will never, ever come true...

Author's Note

If you don't get your hopes up, you can't get disappointed
If you don't have dreams... They can't be crushed.

Honest and direct words. I believe reach for things you want. May get lucky. I believe most dreams are crushed with adulthood. Life turn to okay to s**t. I believe we change with time and struggle. After a while. New dreams appear. Just small ones. A powerful poem. Open the door to thoughts and possibilities. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Very well written. There were a few grammatical errors but other than that, nice job!
