Names that define

The society has the perfect image of how a person should be and if one's character shows even the slightest difference they judge us. They define us without even trying to understand us.

No eyes observe the same

No word is uttered the same

No syllable is heard the same

Everyone has their own identity

Yet, the society wants us to 

see, speak and hear the same

they command us, force us

to be one of the crowd

If you accept, you are a s**t

If you reject, you are a w***e

If you are bold, you are a rebel

If you are shy, you are a wallflower

All these categories made by 

society does not define a person

but yet, even if they don't know

they judge and create false images

Will this world ever change?

Will the minds see beyond the barriers?

Will the names stop defining a man?

Will we ever be free from these shackles?

Yes, conform is the mantra. So much judgement these days. We are all unique and I for one celebrate that uniqueness in each individual. What a sad world if we are all clones. Be apart from the crowd. Be yourself. Listen to your own heart and mind. I enjoyed reading your poem Karen.
