Future: Part I

Future: Part I

A Poem by Sea Light

She is a child of early dawn
The day of yesterday gone
The light of tomorrow's sun

The eldest of three, she cannot see
Young of age her eyes bleed
Drops of crimson petal beads

Yet she always looks ahead
Though her eyes are gone and dead
Tears she never sheds

She holds her lantern high
Her arms to the blue sky
As her visions of yet to be flies

Blind leads the blind
Into the future, unkind
Her hand in yours intertwine

Lead on my daughter
Be the light into which your future
Holds on to those who blindly wander
