Slaughter

Slaughter

A Poem by Kate Henderson

Total slaughter, total slaughter
I won't leave a man alive
La dee la die genocide
The clock strikes ten I have arrived

Enjoy the feast fear the beast
Seven heads leaves thousands dead
You cannot hide
So run far east
This will never cease

A gun shot rings in the sky
Let your soul subside
We all play but the children cry
I'm on your side

Total slaughter, total slaughter
I won't rest until there's not a man alive
La dee la die perfect suicide
The clock strikes twelve I have arrived

Author's Note: I wrote this poem in response to the March 2011 colossal Earthquake and subsequent Tsunami in Japan.

The rhythm in this poem is excellent. The repetition of the first stanza goes well in this poem as well. I find it to be creepily good "Total slaughter, total slaughter
I won't rest until there's not a man alive
La dee la die perfect suicide
The clock strikes twelve I have arrived" Its like you brought the tsunami to life and gave it thoughts of a murder. This is interesting write in my opinion from the norm. Fantastic work
