The Road to HeavenA Poem by Kat ManduThe empty house talks in my head It tells me of the pain ahead The road to heaven leads through hell
Separated by a wall Different roads that rise and fall I cannot find you, though I yell
The broken floor hurts your feet Your bear the pain and don't retreat You have more stories left to tell I see your footprints like before I chase and run along the shore My hope and spirit shines as well
Keep on walking, all alone Your shadow gone without a home Fear is all the demons smell
Dying in this lonely place You're here at last, I see your face I close my eyes, we hear the bell I keep on walking, though I weep We'll meet again, in my sleep Despite my fears, I do not dwell The road to heaven leads through hell © 2015 Kat ManduFeatured Review
