Hush, Hide, Halt- RUN

Hush, Hide, Halt- RUN

A Poem by Wallflower
"

Watch out for that undertow....

"
Hush.
Don't scream that whisper so loudly,
Blame it on the Wind.
The Trees may hear you,
The Ultimate Sin.

Hide.
Don't expose the invisible so bluntly,
The Sun may catch a glimpse
and cast a shadow on your face-
Despite all that light,
What a disgrace.

Halt.
The Ocean knows you're here.
It beckons you to come in.
To give up.
To give in...
Because right now the Moon is shining,
And the Frost, it deafens the Trees,
And you don't have to hush or hide
You can linger as you please.
And even if The Ocean lied
The water's already up to your knees.

Your knees, your thighs, your waist.
The water invades it all.
The pressure surrounds
The weight holds you down
The waves, they rise and they fall.
They hold you up high,
They lick at your chest
your breast and your neck,
Your lips- they let out a sigh.
But hold your breath before you submerse
Because when you come back up...

Hush and Hide
The Sun will rise
The Roots will grow and
The Trees will know and
The Ocean will gracefully step aside.

RUN.
That water was drunk with Lies.

Oh i know, unfortunately i've always loved the ocean....even when i'm restricted to the shore.

when that time comes, you won't have to go to it, it will come to you; so for now just keep writing your wonderful poetry, and leave the ocean to its own coming and going, don't you know...
