Nouns & Verbs; Houses & Homes

Nouns & Verbs; Houses & Homes

A Poem by Wallflower
"

a Noun is not a Verb; a House is not a Home.

"

I Love You

Like the noun, but not like the verb.

It rests in my heart, and lives in my life

But to salvage my soul I must

Curb the appetite to love you

In action.

Inactive

Like an abandoned house, where a home did once live.

It stands worn and withered, treaded and trot

Cuz’ it can’t be knocked down but I

Forgive what it is and for what

It is not.
