Listen To the children (1989)

A Poem by Katseye

Listen To The children

Listen to the children,
Hear what they say.
Can you hear them?
Can you hear them?!

Can you hear them crying?
They're crying for-
Loved ones who are now dying.
Are you deaf to thier crying,
Blind to the children's tears?
They're crying for loved ones dying in wars;
They soon will fight.
Not knowing why their loved ones,
And they, must die.
Are the wars worth-
The death and destruction,
Of our future, our children?
That's what wars bring,
That and nothing more.
