Desire (1992)

Desire (1992)

A Poem by Katseye

Desire

I feel a desire;
An uncontrollable need,
Every time I'm with you.
Sometimes the feelings-
They just over take me.
Sometimes I hide them well.
If only people could understand,
The way I feel;
Then I'd need not control it.
I'd let it flow.
Let the world know,
How much I love you.
Yet some would have you believe,
Believe I don't trully love you.
Or that my feelings are untrue.
My desire not of love,
But out of lust.
They try to keep us apart,
With little success.
Fighting when we must,
Lying, too, if the need arises:
Just to be together.
For our love fuels our desire.
