Can't Fight It (1993)

A Poem by Katseye

Can't Fight It

I can't fight it anymore.

Can't go on believing this lie.

To much time was lost,

That we could have spent together.

I never said I love you,

For fear I'd lose-

The friend I'd come to know,

Almost losing you.

Fearing too,

That I may lose myself in the fight.

I can't go on believing this lie,

Losing you my, my love.

"I need you,"

Was something I never wanted to say.

Always believing...

I would never need anyone.

But when you love someone,

You need them.

As I need you.

Don't you see-

I know the truth.

I always have,

But would not believe.

I love you!

I just can't go on without you love.

Please don't leave me now.
