Morning Light (1993)

Morning Light (1993)

A Poem by Katseye

Mornig Light

I used to dread the morning's beautiful light.

I'd sit up late with stars and moon,

My friends of night.

For nothing awaited me,

In the morning's beautiful light.

Now I see-

Just how much I've been missing.

As a child of the night,

I never saw day's treasure.

Then you came and opened my eyes.

You showed me a world unknown,

That I soon would come to love.

Now I sit up late,

With my friends of night,

To await the morning's beautiful light.

When once again,

I will see you my love.
