Love at Dusk

Love at Dusk

A Poem by Kay Cornwall

I suppose I sought
to prolong the feeling
of when I first stepped out of the door

The radiant sun
celebrating my early rise
The quiet
whispers of peace dawning

Sat now, shivering
I am reminded of lovers chasing their first kiss
stubbornly seated in the winds
even when the rain tells them
it's time to go home.
