Inner State of Mind: Cold Winds, Lonely Nights

Inner State of Mind: Cold Winds, Lonely Nights

A Poem by Koari
"

Another entry in this little series of mine. When you miss someone special, even though you know you'll see them again someday, every moment you're not by their side brings a sadness to your heart.

"
Living without you,
is the hardest thing for me to do.
Every night I toss and turn,
praying that you'll pull me close.

I know this is only temporary,
that soon enough we'll be together again.
But as the nights grow longer,
I feel more and more lonely.

How I wish you were here,
that you would keep me warm.
During the cold winds,
you make me feel loved and safe.

But for now I am alone,
in a world without you beside me.
Until we meet again, I shall wait,
eager to be in your arms once more.

Author's Note

Koari
This was just during a time where I was missing someone special to me, so I'm sorry if it wasn't very good. I just needed to get some feelings off my chest.

Sometimes the best poems (expressions) are the ones we pick at the least. Words spilled upon a page and then left there to speak for themselves. Soulful inspiration, dear Koari.
