Intimacy

What is intimacy to you?

I mastered intimacy the day I was born,
When strangers saw me naked.
And ever since I distance myself from physical activity.
On a daily basis.

It's not intimate for me to show you my body.
Or to tell you my condition in detail.
Rather to open up about what goes on in my heart. In an excruciating reveal.

Lay next to me in bed.
Let gentle touches say more than words.
Hold me while I shake.
The thought of sex, absurd.

Read my poetry,
See who I am, In written form.
Show me a different intimacy than the forced one,
That's plagued me since I was born.
