Between Dimensions

Between Dimensions

A Story by A Glow in the Pit of My Soul

It was so still and so dark
I couldn’t see my own hands
in front of me, holding the solitary beam of light

and then I gasped and my eyes widened
as I saw what was illuminated before me.

a low hanging fog was rolling in from the pond
and each tiny water droplet danced in front of my eyes
like they were the very atoms
that created this world.

I was immediately transported
to a different plane of existence
and all I could see was the delicate flecks of light
being shuffled about by my freezing breath
as I felt like I was suspended in the air,
unaware of the iron grip of gravity.
