This is from when I stopped believing in just about everything I ever had faith in. It speaks for itself.

True Love,

                No such thing.

 

Hope,

        A true fools word.

 

Believe,

           An idiots thoughts.

 

Reality,

           None of the above.

 

Torture,

             The life I live.

 

Hate,

        What we all do best.

this is an amazing write. so powerful. it holds truth in it. the last line "Hate, What we all do best." is my favorite. it hits you like a punch in the face. & it is true. humans are very good at hating each other. dark & wonderful write.

Rhyming is not necessary, IMO, unless you want to, or unless the poem unfolds that way. In this poem, the structure is very effective without rhyme. I like the statement, "Reality, None of the above" because it allows the reader to pause and reflect on the poem up to that point. Nice work!
