Crash

Crash

A Poem by Kayla richmond

She clings to a glass pipe
Shaking as she wipes
The tears in her eyes
Away before she pursues another high
Nothing ever feels right
She wastes away during sleepless nights
The crystal is her crutch
Making her not feel much
But another high until she crashes
Once again so she dashes
Back to her pipe to feed
Her deadly tempting need

This was a moving piece of poetry that captures the horror of addiction.
