Take Me Somewhere Nice

Take Me Somewhere Nice

A Poem by K

Writing down mental notes,
A mind filled with struggling hopes.
Stuck inside this confined fish bowl,
See the fishes search for my lonely soul.
An outer layer of illusion displayed each day,
But what lies beneath is nothing but self dismay.
Hoping someone would reach beyond this sorrow,
Awaiting in hopes for a friend in the morrow.
Seemingly odd but jolly at first sight,
Yet helplessly drowning in self spite.
This dome getting crowded gradually,
Their numbers increasing indefinitely,
How long will these fishes mock me?
Daring me to dispense such honesty.
They told me I filled myself with lies,
But all I wanted was to go somewhere nice.
