Wake up

Wake up

A Poem by Keisha Danielle

Just admit when you are wrong
Stop driving me to write sad songs

Keep your insults to your self
Take my feelings off the shelf

Dust them off
and notice them
Start treating me like I'm your gem

Why don't you care if I stay or go?
Do you even care if youre alone?

If I ever leave again
Don't dare come after me

You should have helped me stay and
stopped with all the misery

Look in the mirror and realize you're wrong too
You're not perfect, believe me it's true.

You have to let go of the past to move on
But since we're still holdin on
I'll tell you I'm not the only one who did wrong

I may have seen someone else
Do you blame me?
We were done and that's what I had left.

Wake up and smell the coffee
and see you're no saint
I am strong but baby you aint.

I can make it alone
but you wont survive with out me
Surviving is more than just the money.

I wont be there to be your maid,
massage therapist, chef, or getting you laid.

I will no longer be the one you refuse to kiss
But the imperfect girl that you now miss.

Wake up.
