This is home, a place I shall return
To return and always remain
Lush emerald hills, and silvery velvet water
I think of nothing else as the chilled breeze calls my name
This land is a siren that beckons me to stay
I hear her voice on the wind as the mountains take my gaze
"Stay in my hills and mountains untouched
Discover the history that runs deep in my soil
But honor the blood that has been spilled on my land
If only you had known the hardship and the toils"
I think of the feet that have passed here and there
I see them fade in the mist
Over ghostly peaks and valleys deep
The drumming of their steps to fight for what once was theirs
"My stones have crumbled but my rocks still intacted
My grasses burned but replenished
Scars that fade but in memory remain
Love me and keep me cherished"
Eire, my love, my emerald isle,
Why must you capture my heart
But for you I shant recoil but give it with glee
My love, my Eire, my emerald isle
