Bronwen Sunrise

Bronwen Sunrise

A Poem by KeeD
"

An epic tale about a friend I've recently made

"

Bronwen Sunrise

It was the 4th of June, 1992

I was with my archaeological team, excavating the Aryan caves

Digging like slaves, men collapsing to the heat of the sun

Just wanted to be accepted by my peers

The historical society of the Order of Whispers

My shovel hit something, "I struck gold'"

Through this poem i leave behind, a legend will unfold

An old tablet was found covered with dirt

Encrypted on it, Bronwen's name.

Bronwen Cox Hollinger Queen of the Day

Below the tablet lay a chamber

Some sort of a tomb

With paintings on the wall, depicting the Persian doom.

The tablet read,

There once ruled a queen with emerald eyes

Her word was rain to a drought terrain

Statuesque was she, the dawn breaker

For when the sun set pretty venture on her land

Her radiance reflected in the heart of every man

Feared and worshiped, a few tales of her glory

Said to have defeated hordes and have shown no mercy

But the tablet revealed an untold story,

That would astonish historians around the world.

Bronwen was not just a mortal girl

The queen was the savior of our world.

Heresies the Persian king

Ruled the four corners of the earth

Made an unholy pact with a Necromancer.

He sort out dark power, the type that consumed the soul

Made his essence evil, claimed to devour the world.

Spreading his arms like wildfire, the mad king caused desolation

In the evergreen world that now transpires.

His reign immortal, his stance fierce

He dared anyone to challenge his rule

Bronwen Queen of daylight, Mother of all men

Set out to put this Mad Kings story to an end.

Her hair golden illuminated the morale of every alliance soul.

Queen Bronwen sliced her way through his unholy breed.

Looked Heresies in the eye and she began to read

You have been warned darkness, for I am the light

Surrender now or take arms.

Your reign shall end, directly to the netherworld you will go

To face trial for the crimes you've committed.

A horrific laugh as the atmosphere festered.

Queen of the day, do as you may, for I am a God

I'll soon be feeding you to the dogs.

Bronwen pulled out a bow, they called it Sunrise

It fired multiple arrows like shards of light

Pierced through his Daedric Armor, he started to bleed

He screamed," Necromancer what does this mean?"

Limping his way to Heresies side, the necromancer informed him

About the weapon from the sky, it is the truth, it is the light

Avoid its volley or be it your plight.

Howling in anger, he pulled out his weapon

Rushed towards Bronwen and slashed her fair skin.

The moon aligned with the sun and the earth

Darkness surrounded the land

Eclipse the wrecker of light, He called the Scythe

The weapon of night

This malevolent weapon caused mass destruction.

A rapid fire of arrows she fired in retaliation

A storm gust of darkness from the necromancer's staff

Shielded his sire as they began to laugh.

She pulled out two swords from her sundress

Aurora and blaze, slice the king's head and end his craze.

These mystical swords forged by the Gods

Gave her the strength to behead the dark lord.

The birds in the sky came out to sing, as the world was bright again

The days of darkness officially came to an end.

Bronwen Cox Hollinger's tale will always remain

A secret of the order of whispers.

But to me she will always be the girl who saved me and my world.

..xx..
