Poem about love

I am nothing but a seed

waiting to return back to the soil

I've failed to reach the heights of a good life

So I sit here and wait till i'm old and dry

But there you were transparent from day one

Nourishing me with your words

You shined on me like the sun

Helped me grow, your beauty radiated causing my glow

Water you've been my friend and lover

You've given me so much like no other

I'm wet by your touch, filled with life

Under your attention I grow

Making me blush with every gush 

as around my stem you flow

I am seed no more

I am your tree, water will you always nourish me

i like the allegory here...water will nourish the tree, just as a giving lover will nourish me...

we grow from love...when that love comes from someone who is both friend and lover.
