Festival of Light

Dim the lights my sweet Fraulein

Soak in the onyx night with your fluorescent eyes 

Tie your troubles onto tiny embers, let them fly

Lanterns sail across the midnight sky

 

Sink your toes into the warmth of shore

Ocean waves keep crashing against your soul 

Let the water refresh your core 

For life has much more for you in store

 

Sit around the flame and share its story

Watch it burn forth in all its glory

Sing your tale of trials and tribulations

Burning tenacity to overcome chilling situations

 

The suns rays hit you at first morning light

Lanterns accompanied by troubles disappeared with night

It may dew emotions in the moments haze 

Clear skies ahead, live for better days 

 

 

Author's Note

I recently made a new friend across the world who has been going through up's and down's and a hard past but this person is a fighter and has the brightest soul. So this one is for her, wishing her strength forever. "This is her Festival of Light."
