Mount Heroin

Mount Heroin

Carry me down the mountain friend

cause I don't think I can make it home

I've set myself up for destruction

that I can't defuse alone

Curiosity it beckoned me

up the trail away from normality

I'm stuck here with the tremors

as I tread on insanity

Thirsting for heroins truth

I ride these waves of humiliation

Climbing for answers

I stumble upon my deceptive rock formations

The drugs they blanket me

if only temporarily

when I wake I do believe

that they're the ones trapping me

So harness me with your forgiveness

lower me down to safer ground

make me believe that you believe

the possibility of change inside of me

Cause I don't want to ever climb again

to reach my highest low

Heroin was the mountain

no child should ever know
